It's been a while since I posted anything here. I have been crocheting ( it keeps me sane). But I haven't posted any pics so here goes:

This is a throw that I made as a wish for a lady on the Crochet Swaps R Us group.

I thought I had more pics of recent work, but apparently I have been very lax in my pic taking as this is the most recent pic I could find. Oh well, I  will try to do better.

Valentine Doily

Here's what I have been working on. This Valentine Doily was easy and quick to make.

I have other projects in the works and will post pics of those when they are finished.

New Crochet Items

Thought I would pop in and show what I have been working on these past few months.

I made the Round Ripple Christmas Tree Skirt for a swap.


Here's a Potato Chip Scarf that I made in multicolored yarn the other night. No one's getting this one, it's mine! LOL!




A cute pincushion that I made in a CAL.



And a walker caddy that I made.


There were more things but I forgot to take pics before they moved on to their new owners.
And a couple of things that I haven't taken pics of yet, so will post those later.

Lady Bug Afghan

Finally completed the Lady Bug Afghan that I started in May! I really don't like sewing parts on and had a terrible time getting the feet positioned correctly on this Lady Bug! But she's finally finished. One thing off my project list. Here's a pic of my Lady Bug.

More newly completed crochet items

I whipped this cute Christmas Angel Dishcloth up last night.
Here's my favorite coaster pattern done in Christmas Colors.


And I made this Star Table Mat last week.




I have more projects in the works and will post more pics as soon as they become available.

Halloween Black Cat Potholder & Baby Blanket

I love Halloween and this cute Black Cat potholder is just perfect. It worked up quickly and easily.


This is a baby blanket that I made. Hmmm, well not the best picture, but you get the idea.

Latest Crochet

I haven't been doing much crochet lately. Well, actually haven't been doing much for the last year. But, I completed a baby blanket for my granddaughter Beth, born Dec. 10, 2010.
I also completed a totally cute Frog Hat for Beth.

I am posting pics of both items below. The first one is of Beth's Blanket.

I want to get a pic of her wearing her frog hat, too.

Guy's Birthday

Yesterday was Guy's birthday, he would have been 32. I went to the cemetery. I had to be with him at least for a little while on his birthday.

I would give anything within my power, including my own life just to see him coming up the driveway, to hear his voice and that crazy laugh of his.

How many times can one heart break? My heart breaks every time I go to the cemetery, it breaks when something comes hurtling out of the blue unexpectedly and reminds me of Guy, it breaks when I look at this pictures, when I see some thing of his and on and on. My tears will never stop.

I love you, son.

Catie's 1!!

My granddaughter , Catie had her 1st birthday on Sept 7. Here are some pics from the party.

Recent Crochet

The little bit of crochet that I have done recently I didn't remember to take pics of most of it, but here a couple of things.



Snowflake Coaster - This was a CAL in the Crochet Fun with Pam group at Google Groups.



Heart Square - This square was also a CAL at Crochet Fun with Pam.

I am currently working on a baby blanket and a Ladybug Doily. For some crazy reason the Lady Bug Doily is giving me fits. The stitches are easy enough, but I keep messing up the sequence. ACK!!!

More Snow

Wow! I don't ever remember this much snow in Texas! It's pretty but a royal PIA, too.
I couldn't get my front door open this morning because it was blocked by snow. I had to go out the back door, come around and use a garden hoe to free up the door so I could get it open. Not my idea of fun. Here's some more snow pics.












I am making chili for lunch. Then I think I am going to take a break and crochet for a while.

Snow in Texas!

It snowed overnight. I awoke to a blanket of now on the ground. It's looks so pretty and not a common sight in my area of Texas.

I haven't been out in it, just kinda hung out the door to snap a couple of pictures.

Ok,just took "the girls" out. It's still snowing, small wet snowflakes. I got some more pics while I was outside.

Christmas 2009

I'm a little late posting about Christmas, but hey what the heck? Here's pics of the grandkids taken Christmas Day.

I have a new granddaughter born on Sept 7, 2009. Her name is Catherine, but we will call her Catie.
She weighs 7 lbs and is 20 1/2" long.

The pic is a bit fuzzy, but I will get more pics when I go out there in 2 weeks.

Wishes Granted & Things from my hook

I received not one, but two granted wishes!
One is a Christmas Themed Kitchen Set from Jo.

she made a crocheted kitchen towel, a potholder, a dishcloth and two coasters! It's all lovely and I really like the yarn she used. Thanks Jo!

The other wish was for Halloween coaster set and pothodler. Carol W. sent this adorable set

I love the spiders, they are just too cute! Thanks Carol!

I made this Kitchen set. I made it for a swap and now I am really liking it.Love those colors!
